At St Bene’t’s we support various charities, giving away 10% of the money that is given to us each year.
Here are links to some of the charities we support:
The charity is working with partner organisations and churches to develop support for individuals and communities affected by HIV/AIDS.
The Bible Society in Egypt
Operating in Egypt for 129 years, the Bible Society seeks to encourage access to the Bible, and understanding of it.
Out of our support for the Church in Egypt has grown a link with the Egypt Diocesan Association, which supports the work of the Anglican Church in Egypt. We are hoping to build on this link and arrange a visit to Egypt to see the work of the EDA and the churches in Egypt firsthand.
We also support Christian Aid.
Locally, we have donated to the Cambridge Churches Homeless Project, with which many of the congregation have offered to volunteer, as well as other local homeless charities. And we support the Foodbank with a regular collection of dried and tinned goods (on the first Sunday of each month).
