Cambridge Churches Homeless Project

Since January 2014, a number of central Cambridge churches have worked together to offer hospitality and shelter to those who would otherwise have nowhere to sleep. A different church acts as host each night of the week, and volunteers cook and serve a meal, eat with the guests, and stay overnight in the church. Our ancient building is beautiful, but not particularly well-suited to offer overnight accommodation, so St Bene’t’s has teamed up with Castle End Mission, and we provide volunteers for Saturday nights (other members of the congregation volunteer with other churches on other nights of the week).

If you’d like to find out more, or are interested in volunteering, please contact the Vicar.
